Hamptons International have successfully developed both a 6 month Emirati development programme for existing employees and new full time working professionals as well as 2-4 week programmes aimed at students, giving them an insight into the main business sectors of finance, human resources and marketing. Dr. Brian Etemad, Managing Director, Hamptons International, UAE

A legal professional with international experience, Brian Etemad spearheads the overseas expansion of Hamptons International in the Middle East and North Africa region. Previously, as Director and Legal Counsel of Emaar Properties PJSC, Brian was responsible for leading Emaar's real estate development initiatives across the company's key markets including the UAE. Over the years, Brian has amassed extensive industry experience in identifying growth opportunities in new markets,
setting the base for current developments and undertaking negotiations for strategic partnerships in new markets. His across-the-board experience has facilitated the formation of several international associations, which led Emaar's pioneering developments in international markets. Brian was earlier Director of Real Estate Development at DTZ, Singapore and holds a Jurist Doctorate of Law from New York Law School with honors.

Workshop D      Defining Your Talent Management Strategy
A talent management framework is a critical aspect of an organisation’s People Strategy.  Its component parts can be quite effective on their own, however unless well integrated and managed, an organisation may not be managing, and retaining, its talent as well as it might be.

This workshop will explore:

  • A model of Talent Management – what might work for your organisation?
  • Auditing your organisation’s current Talent Management approach
  • Determining next steps.

This workshop will be highly interactive involving a variety of learning techniques including mini lectures, individual exercises and group discussions. 

About Your Workshop Leaders:
Nanette Fairley has worked across the Middle East since 1993.  She has degrees in Occupational Psychology and an MBA and uses this knowledge to support organisations determine what will be most effective for them to enhance their people management, as opposed to ‘what others are doing.’  Nanette’s particular interest within the Talent Management area is the development of behaviours to ensure individuals are ready for the challenges of leadership.

Fiona Kelly has over 20 years experience in senior management and executive positions. This has included establishing and implementing sector wide structural reform, developing systems, policies and procedures to enhance operations and developing competency models to form the basis for complete workforce realignment and development.  Fiona’s work in the Middle East includes the design and conduct of Assessment and Development Centres for significant government and private organisations across the UAE and the running of skills development workshop in talent management strategies.
